Cemcrete — Decorative Cement

Decorative Cement Systems

Cretecote, Satincrete, floor screeds, and countertop finishes — supplied by Tswanacrete in Gaborone for premium residential and commercial projects.

The Look of Concrete.
Done Beautifully.

Cemcrete has been manufacturing distinctive cement-based decorative coatings since 1973. Their products are used by architects, interior designers, and specifiers on residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects across southern Africa and internationally.

Tswanacrete is the authorised Cemcrete distributor in Botswana. We stock the most popular floor and wall products at our Gaborone warehouse, available for immediate collection or local delivery. Whether you are a contractor pricing a job, a builder sourcing for a client, or a homeowner planning a renovation — you can buy Cemcrete products directly from us. Our team can assist with colour selection, coverage estimates, and substrate guidance.

Cemcrete systems are applied products. Getting the best result depends on correct substrate preparation, the right product selection, and proper sealing. We recommend applications be carried out by a trained and experienced applicator. We can assist in identifying suitable contractors where required. Homeowners and builders with relevant experience are welcome to purchase and apply — we will provide the technical information to give your project the best chance of success.

CreteCote — Decorative Floor & Wall Coating

CreteCote is a pigmented, thin-film cement-based coating applied in a two-coat system to produce a smooth 1.6mm decorative finish. It is suitable for application over wood or steel-floated concrete slabs, screeds, ceilings, and plastered or previously painted walls. For interior floors and both interior and exterior walls. CreteCote achieves a natural concrete-look finish and is available in a wide range of standard colours. The substrate must be structurally sound, non-crumbling, and correctly prepared before application — CreteCote is a coating, not a repair system. All CreteCote floors require sealing with an appropriate Cemcrete sealer to protect against staining and wear. Hairline cracking is possible where the substrate cracks or moves — cement-based coatings are not flexible. Not suitable for use with underfloor heating.

RenoCrete — Spray or Trowel-On Resurfacing System

RenoCrete is a pre-coloured, two-part polymer-modified cement resurfacing system that can be applied by spray or trowel. It is designed to resurface and decorate existing concrete surfaces — floors, pavements, walkways, patios, pool surrounds, and balconies — where the structural integrity of the underlying concrete is sound. Sprayed application produces a textured knock-down finish; trowelled application gives a smoother result. RenoCrete provides good compressive, tensile, and flexural strength with reasonable abrasion resistance. It can also be used on walls to achieve a mottled, smooth decorative finish. A sealer is required to complete the system.

CemCote Skimmed — Interior Wall & Ceiling Coating

CemCote Skimmed is a finely ground pigmented cement-based powder, mixed with water on site to produce a smooth, flowing coating that sets hard with a refined, mottled finish. It is suitable for interior walls and ceilings. It is not a floor product. CemCote Skimmed suits contemporary residential and hospitality interiors where a refined architectural cement surface is required. Sealing is recommended to protect against moisture and staining, and is essential for vanity and bathroom wall applications.

SatinCrete — Coloured Interior Plaster

SatinCrete is a 2–3mm pigmented cement-based decorative plaster that creates a smooth, coloured, mottled finish on interior walls. It is for interior use only and cannot be used on floors or exterior surfaces. Important to note: SatinCrete is a made-to-order product with a minimum order of 10 x 20kg bags — allow adequate lead time when planning. The substrate must be sound, clean, and properly prepared; it cannot be applied directly over tiles. Where lead time is a constraint, RenoCrete is a strong locally available alternative that delivers a comparable finish and is stocked by Tswanacrete.

PoolCrete — Pool Plaster & Finishes

PoolCrete is Cemcrete's established pool plaster system for new pool builds and refurbishment. It is a cementitious finish applied to the structural shell of a pool to provide a watertight, decorative surface in a range of colours. Cemcrete also offers Pool Quartz, BeadCrete, and Pool Coating systems for different pool finish requirements. Pool finishes are specialist applications requiring experienced applicators — correct mixing, application thickness, and curing are all critical to long-term performance. Tswanacrete supplies these products in Botswana with technical guidance on system selection and substrate preparation requirements.

Colour Hardener — New Build Floor System

Colour Hardener is a dry-shake powder that is floated into freshly placed concrete screed during the finishing process. It produces a coloured, hardened, abrasion-resistant surface that becomes integral to the slab — not a coating applied after the fact. Suitable for new residential and commercial floor slabs, driveways, and external paving. Unlike thin-film coatings, Colour Hardener does not rely on adhesion to the substrate — it becomes part of the concrete surface. It is compatible with underfloor heating. Available in a range of standard colours.

Sealers & Topcoats

Cemcrete produces a range of penetrating and surface sealers to protect and finish decorative cement applications. Sealer selection directly affects the final appearance and performance of the floor or wall — matt, satin, and semi-gloss options are available. Sealing is not optional for floor applications; it is a required part of the system. Incorrect sealer selection or application is one of the most common causes of early failure in decorative cement floors. We advise on the correct sealer for each product and application at the time of supply.
